the way to work

This painting shows where I live in red. The long line is the path I take to walk to work. On the way I pass snow covered roads, white circles, black ovals with lines in them until I meet the sun. I am joking of course. It is an abstract painting. The white circle is a church. The sun the city and a major park in Sydney. And I pass a number of ovals and parks on the way. I better leave now because I am running late.

pink lady

A mixed media drawing. Sketching with pencil, ink and acrylic paint. Ika the pink lady is stretching her stuff on the floor, showing off her amazing flexing poses. Will you scratch my back?

butt 7

This is butt 7. The butt series is dedicated to the beautiful female form of the bum, behind, toosh, booty, whatever you would like to call it. I call mine flat skinny no bum. Firstly sketched quickly at a figure drawing night then using ink and a brush to finish off.

brown paper

Something a little different for me. Trying to paint/ ink without setting up the drawing beforehand with a pencil. Not that easy but fun. I enjoyed using brown paper and a brush for a change and love using white acrylic to “rub out” mistakes and better still……………I didn’t spill anything onto my carpet!

b & w

B & W portrait painting on black paper. It’s a make believe face I think is a guy with girly hair.

a little bit of everything

This painting has a little bit of everything. It started as a pencil sketch. Then some ink work. Followed by acrylic paint. I even spilled some tea on her arm by mistake and decided to continue painting tea bag on her arm.
Happy Monday. Lying in bed wondering how to get up. Temperature says 11deg Celsius. Brrrrr.

indian red ink

This painting/ sketch/ ink drawing uses Indian red ink. The same Indian red ink that is now a permanent feature of my carpet. It looks more pink than red. I also used black ink and white acrylic paint to help hide mistakes on the way. I like the strong visual effect with this medium compared to my usual pencil drawings.

It’s Friday!!!! Woohoo. And Thursday for some.

comfort zone

My attempt at painting. I used ink and white acrylic paint. So much harder than drawing. When drawing you can make mistakes and then fix them up. Happy at least for stepping out of my comfort zone. Girl with long flowing hair if you couldn’t work it out. Totally not offended if you couldn’t.

nudie

Monday nudie. Where did the weekend go? Woke up late and now rushing to get to work. Let’s hope the day goes quickly. Pencil and ink quick sketches. I feel like the girl on the left of the page.

australia day!

Happy Australia Day everyone. Hope you are donning your green and gold, having a barby and drinking lots of beer. What do ya reckon’? Sounds pretty good hugh?

What am I doing today you may ask? No? Well I will tell you anyway. Working…… It’s not too bad though. We are in the Philippines working on an amazing new project and catching up with some great people we haven’t seen for ages! If you feel like it, check out Arya Residence in Fort Bonifacio. Arya is one of our buildings currently under construction designed for our friends at Artha Land a few years ago. Must write something on that another time.

Now back to art. A moof inspired lets try painting little black sketch. Kinda cute I think :)
